WHAT YOU CAN DO....
After visiting our beautiful country many of my clients ask me how they can help or what they can do to give back.
Fortunately as most of my clients are spending foreign currency it doesn't take a lot to make a big difference & every little bit counts so never think that your donation won't matter, there are so many needs in a country such as ours & a large number of organisations rely solely on donations.
While there are many amazing non-profit organisations doing fabulous work, here are a few that are close to my heart:
Uthando South Africa - Uthando (Love) South Africa is an award-winning Fair Trade in Tourism certified non-profit organization. They create a unique link between tourism and community development projects.

The Haven Night Shelter - The Haven believes that no-one should have to live on the streets. For as little as R75 (roughly US$4) you can buy a bed for a homeless person for 5 nights.
The Black Mamba's - the worlds 1st all woman anti-poaching unit.
Rhino Revolution are committed to protecting iconic black and white rhino from the barbaric illegal wildlife trade.
The Timbavati Foundation - The primary objective of The Timbavati Foundation is to reach underprivileged communities neighbouring the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve with quality environmental education, and skills-development opportunities as well as create sustainable & resilient livelihoods through their programmes.
Ladles of Love started with one small soup kitchen serving soup to the homeless in Cape Town once a week. Today, they serve hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children & families from their depots throughout the Western Cape & Gauteng each year.
BRAVE Girl - BRAVE inspires and empowers girl leaders, supporting girl-led initiatives and building a network of women and girl leaders across the African continent. BRAVE uses the challenge of travel and adventure in wild places to create opportunities for girls, and works with those who can provide the resources, knowledge, experience, and safety that girls need to lead.
